Thrillophilia Travel, attraction tickets By Bhavishya Jain
Thrillophilia: 7+ attraction microsites built from zero to 2.29M visits a year
Thrillophilia sold tickets to big attractions, but on its main site each one was a single listing among thousands, up against official sites and global booking platforms. So from November 2022 we built focused microsites from scratch, one per attraction. In 2024 they drew 2,291,013 visits, traffic was up 215% on 2023, and revenue grew 314%.

Chapter 1
Day one: big attractions, buried in a big catalogue
In November 2022 none of these sites existed. Thrillophilia sold tickets to attractions like Safari World Bangkok and Gardens by the Bay, but on its main site each attraction was one listing among thousands of tours and activities.
Searches for those tickets are narrow and ready to buy. A catalogue page could never match them as closely as a site built around a single attraction. The bet was to build those sites, from a blank domain up.

Chapter 2
The opening: one site per attraction
People searching for an attraction's tickets want prices, timings, what's included and how to book, all in one place. Big booking platforms win on authority, but their page is one product among thousands. A site about one attraction can be the most complete answer to every one of those searches.
| What decides the ranking | Big booking platforms | Thrillophilia main site | A dedicated microsite |
|---|---|---|---|
| Topical focus | Thousands of products per domain | One page among thousands | Every page about one attraction |
| Search coverage | Mostly the ticket page | Mostly the ticket page | Tickets, prices, timings and visitor guides |
| Language reach | Varies by market | English pages | Multilingual pages for international visitors |
| Internal links | Spread across the catalogue | Diluted across the catalogue | All pointing to the ticket pages |
Chapter 3
The plan: build, prove, then scale
Every microsite followed the same playbook, so each new launch was faster than the last. We proved the model on the first sites before scaling it to more attractions and more languages.
November 2022
Build: the first sites
Domains, site structure, technical setup and content built from scratch for the first attractions.
2023
Prove: rank and convert
On-page optimisation, internal links and backlinks took the first sites to page one. 727,271 visits in the year.
2024
Scale: more sites, more languages
7+ sites live, with multilingual pages for international visitors. 2,291,013 visits in the year.
Chapter 4
Five plays that ran together
| Play | What it did | Headline result |
|---|---|---|
| One attraction, one site | 7+ microsites built from scratch | 2.29M visits in 2024 |
| Answer every visitor question | Content for tickets, prices, timings and planning | 1,000+ daily visitors on one site |
| Multilingual reach | Pages in multiple languages | Rankings in multiple languages |
| Authority for new domains | Internal links and niche backlinks | +215% traffic in a year |
| Measured in revenue | Traffic tied to bookings and profit | +314% revenue, +231% profit |
Play 1
One attraction, one site
The idea. A site about a single attraction matches ticket searches far more closely than a catalogue page ever can.
What we built. 7+ microsites from a blank domain, including Safari World Bangkok, Dream World Bangkok, Singapore Zoo, Gardens by the Bay, IMG Worlds of Adventure and The View at the Palm.
What it returned
7+
microsites built from scratch
Play 2
Answer every question before the visit
The idea. People booking attraction tickets also search for prices, timings and what to expect. Each of those searches is a way in.
What we built. Pages and content covering the questions visitors ask before they book, all linking back to the ticket pages.
What it returned
1,000+
daily visitors on a single attraction site
Play 3
Reach visitors in their own language
The idea. These attractions draw visitors from all over the world, and many search in their own language.
What we built. Multilingual support across the microsites, with pages optimised to rank in each language.
What it returned
Rankings in multiple languages, opening up international demand
Play 4
Authority for brand-new domains
The idea. New domains start with no trust. Links are how a new site earns the right to rank.
What we built. Tight internal linking on every site and niche-relevant backlinks to build domain authority from zero.
What it returned
+215%
traffic, 2024 against 2023
Play 5
Measured in revenue, not visits
The idea. Traffic only matters if it books. The microsites had to prove themselves as a revenue channel.
What we built. Tracking across Google Analytics and Search Console, with traffic reported alongside revenue and profit.
What it returned
+314%
revenue, with profit up 231%

Chapter 6
What this taught me
Narrow beats big when intent is narrow
A site about one attraction answered searches that a catalogue page never could.
Build a playbook, not a site
Reusing the same structure made every launch faster than the one before.
New domains need links early
Content gets a new site indexed. Links get it ranked.
Report revenue, not traffic
Revenue and profit growth made the microsites a channel the business invested in.
“A small site that does one thing well can outrank a giant that does everything.”
This work earned me Thrillophilia's Excellence Award. Credit to the content, tech and marketing teams who built the sites with me.
